The printer I’m using, an Epson L1300, seems to print quite well on most of its own. But I noticed that the printer is printing out a lot of ink onto the pages. It seems like a waste to throw away ink cartridges when they still have plenty of ink left in them. I came up with a solution that uses the ink cartridges that are not yet empty. I used an empty ink cartridge to make a homemade ink refill bottle, which I filled with printer ink. Then, I taped the refill bottle to the side of my printer so now there is no wasted ink. Please note that only brand-new Epson printers are able to use this trick. After using it for about a week, I noticed that the Epson L1300 prints much smoother now. However, there is still some black ink printing onto irrelevant parts of pages that shouldn’t be printed onto. I made another paper template which I taped over the printer ink cartridge. After doing this, the paper is now 100% black with no extra unnecessary ink usage. To install your new refill bottle, refill it just like you would normally do with an Epson L1300. After that you will need to cut off the top of your new refill bottle using a knife or box cutter(the top of the refill bottle is where you filled the printer ink). Next tape your refill bottle to any side of your Epson L1300. Make sure that you tape it so that it doesn’t affect the plastic shell where all the controls are located on. Once the bottom of your new refill bottle is secure, you can take off the top of your Epson L1300. This new tape system is able to work with all of the following Epson models: Epson L1300 Adjustment Program 69 Version 1.1.3Note: To use this adjustment program, you must have an Epson printer that you can print on, otherwise it will not work properly.
